DECA is an organization for high school and college students interested in the areas of marketing, management and entrepreneurship.  It focuses on four areas of student growth:  vocational understanding, civic consciousness, social intelligence and leadership development.  Besides classroom learning, it provides students with the opportunity to interact and learn from business and community leaders.  DECA students are given tools to make them better students, better leaders and better future employees.

The Lincoln East DECA chapter is very active in our school and community.  Our members have lots of fun while learning.  We have many great opportunities such as community service, leadership training and competitions which develop our communication skills, encourage creative problem solving and reinforce our learning.  In the last year, members of our DECA team have attended conferences in Kansas City, Chicago and Los Angeles.

When you get to high school you should definitely check DECA out!!
